Import and Export Document Checklist Excel template by ImportVista

International shipments can involve several commercial, transport and customs documents. A document checklist helps you see what has been requested, received and reviewed before a deadline is missed.

Common documents to track

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • BL, AWB or CMR
  • Certificate of origin
  • EUR.1 or ATR when applicable
  • Customs declaration
  • T2L or T2LF when applicable
  • VGM for relevant sea shipments
  • Insurance or regulatory certificates where required

Use statuses and deadlines

For each document, record whether it is pending, requested, received, reviewed or not applicable. Adding a due date and an owner makes the checklist much more useful operationally.
